Abstract

UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Campus Development Project using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. This software is intended to increase efficiency in terms of labor requirements, time, and costs. This information system has the potential to change the structure, culture, politics, and work patterns of an organization, often causing obstacles in the process of implementing the software. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a systematic approach to the planning, design, construction, and management of buildings or infrastructure. BIM uses an integrated and comprehensive digital model to describe all aspects of a project, including geometry, function, geographic information, and other data.

Building Information Model plays a role in operational planning, digital fabrication, management and planning, as-built modeling, construction analysis, facility management, maintenance and reconstruction planning, space management, and crisis management. The dimensions of the Building Information Modelling include: BIM 2D, BIM 3D, BIM 4D, BIM 5D, BIM 6D, BIM 7D, BIM 8D and BIM 10D. Some types of LOD that are commonly used in the construction industry include: increasing the consistency of the Level of Development (LOD), optimizing the use of BIM 4D and 5D, strengthening collaboration between teams, developing team competencies, and routine evaluation and continuous learning. Some types of LOD that are commonly used in the construction industry include: LOD 100, LOD 200, LOD 300, LOD 400, and LOD 500. BIM can be used for Autodesk Naviswork scheduling and for clash detection which functions to find out overlapping or overlapping revit model elements.
